Is Frenzy safe?

Last updated on 2026-03-15

Frenzy is built for social discovery and real-life hangouts, with tools and practices designed to help you stay safer while meeting people nearby. No app can guarantee that every interaction is risk-free, so your judgment still matters.

Safety tools in Frenzy

Frenzy gives you controls to protect your experience:

  • Block someone you no longer want interacting with you
  • Report harassment, fake accounts, scams, or other harmful behavior
  • Community Guidelines that set expectations for respectful use
  • Profile and privacy choices that help you control what you share
  • Discovery preferences so you can choose who you want to meet — for example only women, only men, non-binary people, or everyone

If someone makes you uncomfortable, block and report them. Reports help Frenzy review activity that may violate the rules.

Location and privacy

Nearby discovery uses your approximate location while you are using the app. Frenzy is not designed to show other users your exact live device location.

Still:

  • Do not share your home address, workplace, or live location with people you do not trust
  • Review location permissions in your device settings
  • Share only what you are comfortable putting on your profile

Meeting people IRL

If you decide to hang out with someone from Frenzy:

  • Meet in a public place
  • Tell someone you trust where you are going
  • Arrange your own transportation
  • Keep control of your phone and belongings
  • Avoid sharing sensitive personal or financial information
  • Leave if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe

Frenzy is not a dating app, but the same common-sense safety habits apply whenever you meet someone new.

Community expectations

Everyone on Frenzy is expected to treat others with respect. Harassment, threats, hate, scams, impersonation, spam, exploitation, and illegal activity are not allowed.

Accounts or content that break the rules may be restricted or removed.

What to do if something feels wrong

  1. Stop the conversation if you feel unsafe.
  2. Block the person in Frenzy.
  3. Report them with the reason that best matches the issue.
  4. Contact local emergency services if you are in immediate danger.
